Foreclosure Mediation Program
Program Summary
The Foreclosure Mediation Program was created to help people going through a residential mortgage foreclosure. The Program's goal is to help families find a way to keep their home and to help reduce the number of court cases that would otherwise go through a lengthy foreclosure process. To qualify, you must be living in the home that is being foreclosed.
Areas served
Champaign and St. Clair Counties
What Happens After I Have Been Accepted Into the Program?
Once you have been accepted into the Foreclosure Mediation Program, your court case will be put on hold until the mediation process has been completed. In order to complete the mediation process, both borrowers and lenders will be required to submit information and documents to the Program. If a borrower misses their Initial Intake Conference for mediation, the court case will be allowed to proceed and a default judgment may be entered. If you cannot attend your Initial Intake Conference, or any other scheduled mediation session, you must contact the Foreclosure Mediation Program. For more information, please contact us.
